I’m really excited about my new ebook “Salsa! – from Pico de Gallo to Mango Salsa, You’ll Find a Salsa Recipe You’ll Love.”

salsa

I started out with the idea of only including recipes that were made with fresh ingredients, like the fruits and vegetables that you can buy at your local Farmer’s Market.  However, there were many good, delicious recipes that needed to be cooked, or included ingredients that were canned or bottled. So, I included my favorite recipes from that category also.

You will find salsa recipes that are vegetable based and others that are fruit based.

Just for fun, I have a last section where I’ve given you the recipes for some of my favorite foods that just go with a meal that includes Salsa.  Some examples are, Picadillo, Mom’s Vegetarian Tamale Pie, Texas Flour Tortillas, Indian Fry Bread (for those delicious Indian Tacos that you can find at PowWows), Guacamole, and Hot Pepper Jelly.  This is just a partial list, of course.

I’ve been cooking since I was 8 years old and it’s one of my passions.  When I lived in Hawaii, I was honored to work with some of Hawaii’s premier chefs such as Sam Choy, Goren Streng, and Corey Waite.  I learned so much and have included a few of their salsa recipes, as well.

Lastly, I wrote a brief history of Salsa, mainly because I was curious; however, I thought it would be interesting for anyone who read this eBook also.

Above is a picture of the tentative cover!  I can’t wait to get it finished and available for all you Salsa lovers out there!!
